I just saw my 61st movie of the year--not including movies I'd already seen. That sounds like a lot to me, even if it only breaks down to about 3 a week. Here's a little breakdown of the movies I've watched:
Of 61 movies:
9 were written or written/directed by Billy Wilder
13 starred Shirley MacLaine
23 were on Turner Classic Movies
7 were seen in theaters
13 were made in this century
1972 was the average release year
What does the future hold in store? Who knows? The Film Forum is planning a Billy Wilder festival for July, and there's at least 3 of his movies that I haven't seen that I plan on seeing, if I can motivate myself to leave my apartment. And my friend Sam and I are supposed to see The Apartment on the big screen, which will be a nice change from the way I usually watch it, on a dusty 13-inch computer screen, lying in bed with a cat standing on me.
Here is a list of the 61 movies I've watched for the first time so far this year:

How do you KNOW all this. Do you keep a log for the blog? Weird.
Also, I thought you had been watching The Apartment and Terms of Endearment for years! What were the movies you obsessed about before you saw those two? What will be next?
Actually, could you put these in alphabitical order please? I don't think Sabrina is on the list and you mentioned it in another post.
