I just tried a free sample of Dove Calming Night, and I have to say, it smelled pretty freaking calming.
I find lots of free samples on Spoofee.com Yes, you have to give out lots of personal information that may lead to you getting lots of junk mail, but I love free stuff enough that it's worth it. In the past few weeks alone, I've received a sample-sized bar of Dove Calming Night, 10 individual-serving packets of Taster's Choice instant coffee, Banana Boat sunscreen, and Clairol Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner.
Spoofee also lists great deals on stuff all over the Internet. It's how I found out about an innovative shopping site called Woot. Woot sells one item a day, and when they're sold out, they don't sell anything else for the rest of the day. I've only really bought one item on Woot--an external hard drive for my music and other important files--but it's fun to visit and see what they've got up for the day. The site is updated at 1 a.m. EST, and sometimes, they sell out in minutes.
In fact, my co-worker Elliott just came by to look at the sweet blank CDs I have. They look like records! It's retro AND modern! It's modern-retro. Remember when Jan and Marcia had their "modern traditional" double wedding? Anyway, I found the CDs listed on Spoofee, and you can buy them here.
Woot is experimenting with a Wine site , where they sell one type of wine for a week, also until it sells out. I am not a really big wine drinker, however, so it's not really of interest to me.
Woot! Woot!

I, too, love the free stuff that comes in the mail. I think it might be a holdover from childhood where I used to crave getting any kind of mail - even if they thought I was an 80-year old vet. Another good site to get free stuff - dealcatcher.com - look in their free stuff section - that's where I got my Dove sample!

It's worth checking out Woot just for the witty product descriptions.
Well, whaddya know. I work for the company that MAKES Dove. I'll let them know you like the Calming Night Body Wash. I like it too.
There's a new handwash that is pretty nice as well. As a whole, Dove products are really good.
