Those Philly Cream Cheese Commercials

I know. I get it. Philly Cream Cheese is like "a little taste of heaven." But I can't help thinking that those spunky cream cheese angels noshing on bagels in Heaven were the victims of some horrible tragedy on Earth. Sorority fire? Strangled by a serial rapist? Whatever. The point is, Kraft makes it out like they're just adorable celestial beings enjoying a yummu breakfast spread, but all in all I bet they'd give up their little taste of Heaven to be alive again. Maybe for Halloween they can do a commercial where, instead of the angel version of themselves, we get to see their rotting corpses rising from the dead, and the slogan can be, "Philly Cream Cheese. So light, it raises the dead."

Or not.

Did you know that its actually a heretical idea to say that Angels are the souls of Dead people? Well, it is , funny hey! I learned that while studing art history which of course deals with a lot of religious art.

I love cheese, paricularly Brie:)

I guess that makes sense. . . Monica on Touched Inappropriately by An Angel was never human. . . neither was Nic Cage in City of Angels.
Wow. I watch some really shitty stuff.

I love your new slogan...not really a cream cheese fan myself, I prefer gouda, camembert and stilton!

You had me laughing out loud and I know I will never look at the commercial in the same way.

Florence,
Your comment was very interesting and I seem to remember such a belief from my more religious days.

Another cheese post. Hmm, I sense a trend here. I have to admit you have a point about the Philly Cream Cheese angels though. They obviously were not bright enough to escape from some unfortunate but not necessarily fatal disaster,
