It's The End of the World As We Know It, and I Want A Radio That Won't Melt in My Hands

I own a plush radio from Radio Shack that is shaped like a blue M&M. My feeling is, if there is every a nuclear war or other national emergency that has me huddled around a radio, it will be good, ironic fun to be listening to the somber news of our impending doom coming from a blue M&M.
(I think of this now, because it is the time of year when Radio Shack begins selling their M&M radios again.)

Michele sent me to see you, Carli.

Hmmm. While a blue M&M radio sounds quite upbeat, the tenor of your post avoids that sentiment. I hope nothing is terribly wrong with you, Carli. 'End of the world' thoughts can get one down. Maybe if you think more about the candy and less about Armageddon...

I think Carli just likes M & M's. And Irony. :)

Interesting thought about waiting for the world to end listening to an M&M... I want to be eating M&Ms at the end of the world--since calories wouldn't matter any more. here from Michele's.

Here from Michele's.

It's a fantastic visual, Carli. You, ear placed fervently upon the blue M&M, listening for the critical news of the day.

Makes me want to run out and get one of those!

I love the MnM's... on of my friends is such a fanatic i actually get scared to visit his house because he has soooooooo many MnM items around... there is probably not much that he doesnt have in the MnM range... the only reason it scares me is also because its all in the one room...

but i too find the irony in a soothing MnM radio keeping you comforted...

Here via Michele's today...
