Like I've said in the past, I don't have enough of a fan base to score free stuff or endorsement deals, so when I tell you about something I like, you can take this total stranger's word for it. I'm not on the take! (Although, I wouldn't mind. Those Ziploc people never got back to me.)
Much as I love and live through Amazon.com, I always like finding little online companies with great inventory and great service. In the past few weeks, I've bought a few pairs of shoes from Joe's New Balance Outlet, and I couldn't be happier with my purchases.
Joe's carries a large supply of discontinued New Balance shoes--perfectly fine, never-worn shoes whose space on the shelves at Foot Locker has been taken over by newer styles. The benefit to the shopper: if you like New Balance (and I sure as heck do--they are great for hard-to-fit feet), you can score some really nice deals here. In the two transactions I've made (one for hiking boots, one for sneakers), I've never been charged more than $4 for shipping, and my shoes have always arrived within a week.
I'm wearing my new New Balance sneaks right now. They cost half what I would have paid for them in a retail store, and they fit perfectly. And they ain't too hard on the eyes, either. (They are a lovely blend of white and toothpaste-gel blue.) But I should really take them off, because I'm going to bed. Goodnight, folks!

I hope Wendell is better soon. Good thoughts!
I used to love NB...then either my feet changed or they changed, but now they hurt my feet. Which sucks. Well now I'm all depressed and missing my NB 609s...
I wish I had read this before shopping on Saturday. Footlocker was a waste of time but I did find some great Nike Shox at Hibbet sports and they were on sale so I can't complain too much. I'm going to have to check this site out, Thank you!
