I LOSE

I feel kind of bad that Wendell won't use the Breeze litter box, because
A) His box is REALLY nasty now since you're not supposed to clean it (the idea being, if you clean it, he'll have no incentive to use the Breeze), and he cries every time he has to go. (I'm cleaning it tonight, but I'll leave the Breeze out for a while.)

B) It would have been really great if he used it; I have a small apartment and he's always tracking litter onto the floor. It would have been nice to be totally litter-free.

C) I boasted to the kindly people at Purina that Wendell would poop in anything. Apparently, he's met his match. (But if it's any consolation, he DOES really enjoy his Purina Healthful Life food)

I still think it's a nifty little product if you can get your cat to use it; I think Purina should offer some sort of money-back guarantee, since it seems to be hit-or-miss. If you are interested in trying it out, today, on Amazon.com/deals, you can score one for $20--about half off.

One thing I tried with my cats was to get an extra bag of the pellets...I cleaned their regular box and spread the pellets out over it. Buddah didn't seem to mind and I think he would have started using the Breeze box once he understood what the pellets were for (he did pee in it a couple of times.) Max is just so stubborn and picky, he wound up being the reason we didn't push it.

One of the cats' families that tried it just took away their regular box without even trying to transition, and that worked great for them. I just wish Max wasn't so stubborn, because the concept is terrific.

Well, his regular litter box is so gross right now, I think it's time for a new one. . . so I might give him two days with no other option but the Breeze--he has gotten into it, but always chickens out. There are already extra pellets in the box.

I'm convinced to try it. I'll be replacing Billy's box though because we don't have enough space for two boxes. The only issue is that I'd like to cover the box since it sits near the front door (small apartment).

Billy never covers his leavings anyway, so he might pick up on this pretty easily.
