Harris Aaron Is Not Famous

On my walk home tonight, (after the train ride), I started thinking about Neil Patrick Harris, and how I now think of him more as the guy from My Mother the Car How I Met Your Mother than the guy from Doogie Howser and how I was happy for his success. And then I thought about those "Before and After" puzzles on Wheel of Fortune, which start with one subject but use one word to bridge to another. Examples: Gone With the Wind Beneath My Wings, Curiosity Killed the Cat Stevens, Vampire in Brooklyn Academy of Music*. . . (I made these all up, but you get the idea.) And I thought a really good one would be "Neil Patrick Harris Aaron."

And then I remembered that Harris Aaron is a guy I went to school with, and all I really know about him is he ran for school president in 7th grade (and lost to David Muriello, although it was rumored that Muriello's mother had somehow fixed the election) and that he was in a couple of drama club productions in high school. (We shared a stage in Up the Down Staircase. And by "share the stage" I mean, he had a lead, and I had 8 lines.)I'm sure he's done wonderful things with his life, but I can't imagine anyone on Wheel of Fortune knowing who the heck he is.

Shut up, Vampire in Brooklyn was a real Eddie Murphy movie, and there is a Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Seriously, his name was Harris Aaron. I just confirmed it.
Now I have to try to track down the guy.

I forgot how much fun it is to read your blog. I got out of the habit while in Texas/Inauguration/Toddler Tour, so I'm reading the backlog. You are a GREAT writer.
