1. Why do cartoon/comic book characters, stick their tongues out to the side whenever they're hard at work or thinking about something? And more importantly, why do we automatically know what it means when a cartoon character makes that face? I mean, it's not a face real people make.

2. When did "That is wrong/cool/disturbing on so many levels" become so popular? I'm as guilty as anyone of overusing the phrase. . . but the next time someone says that to me, I'm going to challenge them to name at least three different levels.
