A Good Day

Today I . . .
*got my desk at work neat and tidy

*found an EMS gift card my boss gave me for Chanukah and put it towards an awesome new backpack for what will hopefully be a spring and summer filled with walking

*picked up Carrie Fisher's memoir, Wishful Drinking, which I'd been on a waiting list for at the library.

*also picked up a movie version of A Little Night Music (that supposedly sucks but I've never seen any version) and Bee Movie

*had a meeting with my psychiatrist that went fairly well; I'm staying on my regular medication for now while we wait and see how I react to the changing weather and my new therapy

*walked from 90th to 33rd street--"The Walk"--taking the long way through the park

*found Skim Plus milk--the kind that's skim milk but tastes better--for a really good price

*got home and turned on the TV at the VERY moment Law and Order was starting. Like, first words out of the TV. . . "In the criminal justice system. . . "
and the first scene took place in the Central Park Zoo.

*Ate a very tasty veggie burger I got at the dollar store for $.99 per package (2 burgers).

Tomorrow I'll probably get hit by a bus.

Also, like the total musical theater dork I am, I was very excited that Javert's Suicide came on my iPod just as I was approaching a foot bridge over one of the many lakes in Central Park. Well, I WAS excited until I was standing on the foot bridge and realized how creepy it is to listen to a guy who is jumping off a bridge when you're standing on a bridge.
