Conversation Snippet From 27 Years Ago

[c. midnight, my parent's bedroom]

ME: Mommy, I had a bad dream. Every time I close my eyes I see Dom DeLuise.
MOTHER: Well, when you close your eyes, why don't you try to think of something that you like? That will take your mind off of Dom Deluise.
ME: Twenty-seven years from now, I'm blogging this.
MOTHER: I don't know what that is.

[Exit, me]

Mother to Father: There is definitely something wrong with this kid. What 5-year-old is afraid of Dom DeLuise?
Father: So, do you want to do what we talked about? 'Cause I know a guy who's really good at staging boating accidents. . .

Rest in Peace, Dom DeLuise. Please don't haunt my dreams from beyond the grave.

Could be worse. You could have been dreaming about Burt Reynolds.
Now THAT would've been creepy.
