Mrs. Brady Contradicts Herself, and 37 Years Later, It Still Pisses Me Off

Juliet is the Sun, Season 3

Carol: Your understudy will play Juliet.

Marcia: Tina? But I'm better than her!

Carol: Marcia, it's not a matter of you being better than she is. It's your attitude.

Marcia: What do you mean my attitude?

Carol: Well, you've become rude to your family and friends. You've become impossible to live with!

Marcia: Mom, you're being unfair!

Carol: Marcia, I'm not blaming you. It's not all your fault. We encouraged you, but you've let it go to your head.

Marcia: You don't understand, Mom!

Carol: Marcia, I do understand, but you've brought this upon yourself. I'm sorry.

I mean, Carol Brady, you take part of the blame and then you tell her it's really all her fault. Well, at least you have something in common with my mother.

Contradiction is a hallmark of parenthood...I'm surprised my son's head didn't explode by the time he was 16...
