I've Been Tagged

I'm still kind of new to the whole blogging thing, but the way I understand it is, there are these things called "memes." And they are lists about you containing information that everyone who knows you should absolutely take the time to learn. And once you're finished making this list, you "tag" a certain number of other bloggers to complete the same "meme." One of the few blogs I read has tagged me, so here goes. Unfortunately, I don't really know any other bloggers to "tag," so I guess this chain ends here.

Five things in my closet:
1. A big mess of clothes and sheets and other such stuff
2. A blender wrapped in Christmas paper
3. An Elvis postcard made out to no one
4. The costume I wore in 9th grade when I played the Cowardly Lion
5. A gorilla puppet

Five things in my refrigerator:
1. A bag of lemons I bought about 2 months ago for a recipe that called for about 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and one teaspoon of lemon zest. I never made the recipe.
2. Two open bottles of Kahlua from 2002. I got these the weekend my 3 1/2 year old niece was born. They have not been opened since about a year before my 1 year old niece was born. Does Kahlua go bad?
3. Turkey
4. One leftover bottle of Coke Blak, which I absolutely HAD to have as soon as it came out. It's rancid stuff. But I keep promising I'll bring it to work so my friend Sam can try it, so I cannot throw it away.
5. Poland Spring Aquapod water. . . because I am a sucker who could not resist a cute new water bottle, even if the unit price comes out to be $.25 a bottle of water, and Target's own comes out to like $.17 for much larger bottles.

Five things in my car:
Several months ago, my car stopped running on a regular basis. And when it did run, it mostly smelled like it was going to explode. So I don't have a car anymore. But at least I'm reducing the size of my carbon footprint! (However, bottled water contributes to pollution because A. Oil is used to make the bottles and B. Many of the water bottles are not actually recycled.)

Five things in my purse (I don't have a purse. I have an orange backpack. I really need to grow up.):
1. An orange troll pen
2. Several loose crayons from New Year's Eve
3. A used ticket to the New England Aquarium
4. A few Breathe Right nasal strips (I sleep with these sometimes. I have no idea what they're doing in my bag.)
5. An empty bottle of Purell
