I can't sleep, and I'm finally at a point where I am completely tired of The Apartment. So I'm back to my regular rotation of a handful of movies, and tonight I'm watching Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a unique movie to try to go to sleep to; as a drama geek growing up in NJ, I spent my share of Saturday nights at midnight showings of RHPS, and it's hard to sleep when you're constantly screaming "callbacks" at the movie screen, or, in my case, 13" DELL monitor leftover from my piece of SH*T computer. I have a MAC Mini now, but use the DELL monitor, as MAC Minis require you to bring your own peripherals--or, B-Yop (by Cyndi Lauper?).
One of the neat features of the RHPS DVD is the opportunity to watch the first several scenes--up to the beginning of "Time Warp"-- in black and white. It was how the film was originally going to be released, in a bizarre Wizard of Oz tribute, but it was ultimately decided against.
Goodnight. Going up to the lab to see what's on the slab.

good night - thanks for the visit
michele didn't send me - but maybe I wish she had.
B&W is so much more artistic than color...you are forced to rely so much more on composition and light, and can't assume that the color will save the shot.
I remember Ted Turners drive all those years ago to colorize the old classics in his library. What a doof!
