I took BB's advice that I was too young to be a complete shut-in and forced myself out of the apartment yesterday, and was pretty glad I did. I mean, if I'm going to be organizing my thoughts into complete sentences and repeating the same phrases over and over again while pacing back and forth and sometimes accidentally saying random stuff out loud so that you mutter, "she's dying" at work and your co-worker Glen asks who is dying and you have to say that you were just talking to yourself. . . if that's all gonna go down, it might as well happen while watching a movie.
So I saw For Your Consideration, Christopher Guest's latest and almost-greatest. Unlike Guest's previous outings with this ensemble of actors(Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind), FYC had more of a linear plot and much less improvisation. Overall, I was happy with the film, although my expectations were not all that high.
Afterwards, I headed over to Better Burger, one of my favorite places in the whole wide world.
Today I left my apartment again and went to my cousin's 8th birthday party. At my 8th birthday party, which was at Chocolate Moose (a make-your-own-lollipop place), I was given the letters of my name in chocolate as a gift. And my cousin Jeffrey (the one on my mother's side) accidentally ate them all. Jeffrey, if you ever read this, and I doubt you will because I see you like twice every five years, I want my chocolate initials. And I'll wait, man. I'll wait.
Oh, wait, that was 7. What was 8? Oh. Right. Sleepover. That was kind of cool.

I've deftly blocked out memories of all of my childhood birthday parties. I'm not sure why: it must have involved too much sugar and not enough sleep.
Glad your grandma is OK. I was thinking about her ever since I read your first entry.
Yeah, she is fine, although 4 years old niece picked up whatever bug grandma had - not a fun night...
