What's Up With the Cat?

One of my problems is my inability to control my stress levels. Something is wrong, and there's only one button: panic.

Wendell had surgery on his tummy to remove an obstruction. The vet told me this afternoon that he was doing well, that he might be able to go home tomorrow, they were going to try to get him to eat.

I visit him tonight against her advice (she was right; he was in no mood), and I find out he has a fever. And the vet tech was totally vague about whether that was normal. And my asthmatic kitty is making some weird noises. And she had no idea what they were. So I continue to panic, and I worry about if and when he comes home, his incision becoming infected, the vet not being open on the weekend or holiday Monday, and I'm beginning to wonder if he'll really be okay.

Think good thoughts! Good thoughts always help! I'll be thinking of you and Wendell this weekend. Keep us posted!

He'll be fine. He'll be happy to be home, I'm sure. My cat hates the vet (all of my cats have). They are usually mad at me for a few hours and then they forgive me and settle down.

I'm glad to hear he's ok.
