Me: Hey, C, did you know that 90% of all pumpkins grown in America are grown within a 90 mile radius of Peoria, Illinois?
C: No. I did not know that.
Me: It's true.
C: Wow. That's. . . enlightening.
And at no point during the conversation was there a hint of inflection in either of our voices.
Then I went into my boss's boss's* office and got a handful of peanuts, and I imagined him saying, "Hey, easy with the peanuts there, Jumbo." He would have been justified in saying that, but in my defense, I never ate lunch today.
*That wasn't a typo up there. He's my boss's boss.

So is it true about the pumpkins? Sounds rather unlikely to me...
Michele sent me to ask:-)

This conversation brings to mind my favorite sitcom "The Office".
