Me: I'm rooting for Texas Tech in the Gator Bowl.
Wendell: Why wouldn't you root for Virginia?
Me: Because I read a really cool story in Sports Illustrated a few years ago about the coach, Mike Leach. And Texas Tech is in Lubbock, which is where Buddy Holly is from.
Wendell: But Virginia is a public Ivy!
Me: Look, nobody's telling you who to support. If you want to root for Virginia, root for Virginia.
And even though we weren't really having a conversation (him being a cat and all), he got up from the couch, as if annoyed, and went and sat on the rug.
And Texas Tech won :)

Carli would Wendell have gotten snotty if Virginia had won?
I'm not sure you could understand Wendell anyway since he has no fangs anymore. probably talks funny.
