that if New Jersey and New York ceased to exist last week while the rest of my family was in Canada, my family would probably have felt really guilty. Or maybe not.
I should just get over it. The message was clear: even though I don't travel and would not have gone anyway, they didn't want to risk my saying, "yes" by actually inviting me.
And then they sent me pictures! It's like, "Look at this fabulous time we all had that you can't have because A) you have no money, B) we didn't want you there anyway, and C) you lack the ability to enjoy traveling, so you would have been miserable anyway."

Thanks for the suggestion, Carli. I think I'm going to buy one of those things on Amazon and try it out. I'd actually been thinking about it for a few months but just didn't like the whole idea. Ick.
Can't you just not travel and quit whining about it?
