Live From New York

Lately, when I've been imagining myself hosting Saturday Night Live, I don't imagine myself in any of the sketches or doing a funny monologue or digital video. Nope. I only imagine myself introducing the musical guest. And it's always Beck.

Sometimes I even find myself saying aloud, "Ladies and gentlemen. . . Beck."

At least you're not delivering the silly canned lines at the end of the monologue:

"We've got a great show. Beck is here. So stick around. We'll be right back."

Ugh...can't they just let the guests host riff something original?

I'll cut the SNLers some slack, as they've been having quite the year. Of course, is it sustainable after Palin returns to living on her ski-doo?

You mean to tell me you've never pictured yourself saying "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!" ?
