Another TV Show Idea

The star of a recently canceled detective show uses what he's learned over the years playing a detective to set up shop as a private investigator. But he finds the way things work in the real world are much different than on TV, so he hires a feisty suspended female cop (who doesn't play by the rules, of course. They never play by the rules) to join him in his agency. Also along for the ride is a devoted, geeky, somewhat creepy fan of the actor, who's memorized every episode and offers insight learned from a lifetime of watching TV cop shows.

See, like, that could be a real show, right? And the whole time, the guy deals with, I don't know, his ex-wife, who is a much more successful actor than he is, and an agent who keeps promising to find him another acting gig.

Producers, cable networks, etc., please come a-callin'. Everyone else, don't steal my show, yo. You know I wrote it here first. Time stamped and all.

I think that actually sounds like a pretty good show.

Do I get to play the feisty suspended female cop or the ex-wife actor?

I would watch that one! Especially if the actor was someone "hot" so to speak. (in my 19 year old's parlance, that is)

Actor-Bruce Willis- Moonlighting, Die Hard, etc, etc.
Sidekick- the Vancouver cop that got fired for posing for Playboy
Geeky Fan-A chubby nerd that lives in his perents basement and saw every episode of the actors old show and solves real life crime by reminding actor/P.I. about what he did in a similar show.
Ex-wife- Demi Moore.
Picked up as Reality show by Fox, and has stunt guests from other Fox shows.
