I think Amazon.com should randomly choose someone (and by randomly choose someone, I mean me) and buy them every item on their wish list. Then they can follow up and see how that stuff has changed their (my) life. I don't know if there's any real point to this, other than I want stuff.
Sometimes I plug in names that pop into my head and see if that name matches a real person with a wish list. It's interesting to see the diversity of what people want and need. Well, to me it is. I'm a very boring person. . . but you wouldn't know that by my wish list. (Well, yeah, actually, you would.)
